These new Fireplace flamelights are constructed from highly polished steel and are patterned on the front face with a variety of laser-cut designs and shapes, behind which the flame is reflected from the curved rear surface and expanded to fill the whole width of the lamp. The result is not just a flame effect but an extraordinarily beautiful fire effect. The Fireplace flamelights are lovely lamps in themselves and cracking stuff anywhere in the home, but they are also absolutely awesome in a fireplace - have a look at the video next door. There are two shapes of shiny metal flame lamps, round ones and the flat-fronted Fireplace ones that are shown here. The flat-fronted Braziers have a wide curve to the rear — this expands the reflected silk flame sideways and turns the flame effect into a fire effect which flickers through the patterned front face. It's a bit hard to explain, even with the little video clip playing here. It's worth seeing the full range of these fire lamps in action and in situ by clicking this link. Pop the sound on too, it's even better - and keep watching 'til the end for close-ups of each model. As you'll see from the video, the flat-fronted Fireplace flamelights lend themselves perfectly for use in fireplaces — they're about 10 inches wide, a foot high and 5 inches deep and the effect is awesome in this setting. For those of you who are wanting to fill a lonely hearth with clean, safe and inexpensive fire, these are just the ticket. Click on the pictures beside each model to get an expanded view. . |
