Retro TV Fire

The Retro TV Fire is a lovely little replica of a 1950s TV — or it might be 1960s; it’s so long ago I can’t remember. The marvellously realistic fire effect is controlled by a traditional volume knob (no, it doesn’t have a remote control) which brightens and speeds up the flames from a dim slow smoker to a bright active fire.

The Retro TV has 3 x ‘C’ batteries included but alkaline are better once these run out — alkaline should be good for 80 hours use depending on the brightness and speed you are using.

Flat Screen TV Fire

For those of you still stuck in the future we’ve introduced the Flat Screen TV Fire to ward off the cold days (OK, there’s no heat but it makes you think there is) and to fill a lonely hearth.

The fire effect is amazingly realistic and is powered by 3 x ‘C’ batteries which are included in the box — although alkaline batteries are more long-lasting once these ones are used up. You can run it off the mains with the supplied 1 metre DC/USB mains lead — all you need is a USB plug like the ones used for charging mobile ‘phones. These plugs are easily available (see below) and are just a 3-pin plug with the usual rectangular USB socket in it.

Alternatively you can plug the Flat Screen TV Fire into your computer or laptop, or even a power bank for complete mobility and cost-effective power consumption. You can buy power banks on this page (see below) — they come in small, medium or large depending on how long you want to use the TV Fire before recharging. With our power banks come the USB plug mentioned above — this means that you can use it to power the Flat Screen TV directly from the mains, or to charge up the power bank of the 1m mains lead is not long enough or you want the total portability provided by the power banks.

The Flat Screen TV Fire also has an in-built 6-hour daily repeating timer — if you turn it on at 6:00pm in the evening it will go off at midnight, and then repeat that 6-hour cycle each day. You can override this by turning the fire off and then back on again — this will start a new 6-hour cycle when you turn it on.
