Flame Lighting Hire
Pretty much all of our products are available for hire for the day or for as long
as you want. The silk flamelights mustn’t get wet so they are really for indoor
use only; for outside use we have garden and patio outdoor torches.
We’ve put as much detail as we can on this page but do feel free to email or call us with any queries you may have. There isn’t a section on the web-site for booking the hire of an item – this is best done over the ‘phone where we can put you fully in the picture with regards to pricing, delivery and collection etc.
The information below is a broad overview of what is available – for more detail on specific models (such as specifications and dimensions), you can click into the shopping pages and scroll through the options.
We predominantly use DHL to get the flamelights to and fro’ and they can deliver to pretty much anywhere within the UK and overseas.

Goa Oil Flare

The Rio,
Faro and Goa are
the models for use outside, particularly for lining a path, delineating a lawn or
for framing an entrance. They all have a spike at the bottom for poking into the
ground but we can supply a weighted base for use on hard surfaces.
When hiring, the Rio is the cleanest and easiest, has the largest flame and has
the longest burn-time without re-filling. It is 7 feet (2.13m) from tip to toe and
uses a canister of gas which lasts for 5 or 6 hours. The Rio can be turned off and
re-lit if you need to extend its use – many people have them on for an hour
or two as guests arrive at a function, turn them off while no-one is around and
re-light them for three or four hours as guests drift away. For longer continuous
periods, you can get extra canisters (they are a doddle to change over, but have
an oven glove at the ready).
The Goa is a bit messy (being an oil-flare and using torch oil) and it needs re-filling
every couple of hours. The Faro makes use of an incandescent material to provide
more functional lighting rather than the vivid animation of the Rio and Goa flames.

Olympia Table

Olympia Handheld
38cm x 15cm |
The images above are some products which are only available for hire, not for purchase - for the full range of table flame lights, please click here for more detail.
These are all plug-in models but, like all of our table models, these can be used in conjunction with an external battery or battery pack (see the battery operation page) for situations where mains power is not available or ideal, such as on a theatre stage or as table-centres. In the case of table centres, you might wish to pick one of the lower models, e.g. the Grecian or Egyptian (above) so that people can still see each other across the table.
All the wall models can be hired.
In addition to these, the Olympia can be sprayed black if the standard brushed chrome
is a bit modern for the setting. We also have a few Olympia wall models that can
be battery operated.
The Firestorms
|
The Firestorms are the big ones –
a black box which sits on the ground shoots the silk flame up to an overall height
of 4, 5, 6 or 9 feet.
They are mains-fed (via a kettle lead) and all the hire models are fitted with the
coloured flame and bulb upgrade to give a bright bonfire-orange flame colouration
whatever the level of lighting in the venue.
The Firestorms, as is the case with all the silk flamelights, are intended for indoor use only but it’s a case of common sense really. If the silk gets wet it will go soggy and heavy and won’t fly - the electrics will also go ‘pop’ (or ‘bang’ in the case of the Firestorms). If the weather looks a bit iffy, the Firestorms should be attended and removed to a place of safety if necessary. |

Flame Machines
For lesser flames, our Flame Machines (flame c. 30cm) and Firelamp (flame c. 14cm)
should fit the bill in most instances. The models in the images below are usually used where the flame is the most important element and not the housing, e.g. the Firelamp for an unused fireplace or the Diablo being popped inside an outsized Olympic torch.
