Outdoor Lanterns
This is just to let you know that we have passed our Flamelight business on to The Glow Company, and they will now be supplying the Firelamps (both the Standard and Red LED versions) and their replacement accessories (bulbs, transformers and flames).
You can contact The Glow Company at enquiries@glow.co.uk or on 0345 505 909 for more information regarding sales. If you have more technical questions, you can also contact us at info@luxa.co.uk.
One thing to note — flames for older Firelamp models are no longer available, and the new style flames are not compatible with the older Firelamps. Older flames have the two pieces of yellow fabric attached to a flexible white band, whereas with the new flames the fabric pieces are attached to a rigid black plastic oval band.
Our outdoor lanterns by are just about the last word in portable garden lighting. In addition to being used as a decorative table centre lamp, they can be used to provide wonderfully atmospheric lighting anywhere in the garden. From dusk onwards the lanterns cast a warm pattern of light onto any surrounding features, making them great for highlighting paths and patios, hanging from trees and walls, or just nestling in bushes. They can be used anywhere that a conventional power supply can’t reach, such as in summer houses and log cabins, tree houses and pergolas, or barns and sheds. Each lantern is supplied complete with 2 x C-cell batteries — a pair of alkaline batteries should last for more than 240 hours before they need replacing. The LED/battery pod is weather resistant but it should not be left in lying water or out in heavy rain, and the paint effects may tarnish somewhat if left out in the elements. For these reasons, we recommend that the lanterns are stored inside when not in use. The integral timer function is set at a repeating 6-hour cycle over a 24-hour period. When the switch is moved from the ‘Off’ position to ‘Timer’, the lantern will come on for 6 hours before going off until the same time on the following day, at which time it will again come on for 6 hours. If the lantern is needed for longer than this, the switch should be turned to the ‘Off’ position for 10 seconds — this will reset the timer to a new 6-hour period once it is turned back on. With the timer function in use, the batteries should last for around a month before recharging or replacing is required.
